I was looking for materials for a summer collection and started with the sand and everything the sea leaves on the beach. Among shells and plant fragments, I found plastic, thin threads, colorful pieces, unexpected inserts trapped among the seaweed, as if nature had swallowed them and then returned them. I was struck by the distorted harmony of that mixture: the apparent beauty of something that shouldn’t be there, yet is, and blends in. I wanted to capture that feeling, encase it in resin as one does with a relic. Each piece is unique, each jewel contains a different element and holds my impression of a changed marine landscape, where the eye learns to find charm even in contamination.
